Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Ellen Noël Art Museum!
We hope you will find your experiences here fun and rewarding.
Here are some of the opportunities we have available for volunteers:
The Gallery Attendant is the first person a museum visitor sees at the front desk. This museum ambassador greets visitors as they enter and answers questions. The gallery attendant is also responsible for monitoring the gallery spaces from the front desk and taking attendance.
The Prep Crew are exhibition installers responsible for setting up and taking down the exhibits. These volunteers are staff-trained, as the job requires knowledge of the special procedures used to handle and properly display artwork. Some physical ability is required.
Master Gardeners maintain the George and Milly Rhodus Sculpture and Sensory Garden. These volunteers seasonally change the native plants in this garden. Contact the Permian Basin Master Gardeners for information about joining.
Children’s programming assistants are needed for events and classes.
Fundraising volunteers assist at your fundraising events such as our annual Shrimpfest and Oktoberfest. These events offer diverse ways to interact with our community while celebrating support of the arts. Volunteers are needed in all areas of these special events.
We depend on our volunteers, so we want to repay you for your dedication and hard work. As a volunteer you develop marketable skills and life-long learning opportunities. Come meet new people and work in a stimulating and fun environment. You will receive newsletters, invitations to all events, opportunities to attend classes presented by trained staff and recognition at special volunteer events.
Call Aggie Acosta, Administration and Visitor Services Manager, at extension 210 or aggie@noelartmuseum.org for information on volunteer opportunities. Volunteering can be made to fit your schedule!
Art matters!
As a volunteer you play a vital role in bringing art to the community.
